Who We Are: Eden Valley and Revolution Youth, Inc.

Who We Are: Eden Valley and Revolution Youth, Inc.

If you have searched for Eden Valley or Revolution Youth, you may have wondered how the two names fit together. This post explains it plainly: who we are, how the organization is set up, what we offer, and how to reach us.

Two names, one nonprofit

Revolution Youth, Inc. is a Vermont 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Eden Valley is its clinical division, doing business as Eden Valley, and it is based in Burlington, Vermont.

In everyday terms, Revolution Youth is the parent organization and Eden Valley is the part of it that delivers mental health care. When you see "Eden Valley, the clinical program of Revolution Youth, Inc.," that is the same organization described from two angles.

Revolution Youth describes its work as pairing enduring mental health with creative education. Eden Valley is its clinical mental health agency. A creative media agency, Equality, is part of the same family of organizations, and it supports our design and media work. You can read more on our About page.

Why does this matter to you? Because it tells you what you are dealing with. Revolution Youth, Inc. is a nonprofit, so its work is mission-driven. Eden Valley is where that mission meets individual people: a child who is struggling at school, a couple trying to talk again, a clinician who wants good supervision.

The organization describes its focus as building healthy mindsets together. That phrase appears across our materials, and it reflects how we try to work, with clients, families, schools and other providers rather than around them.

Who leads the organization

Revolution Youth is led by a board. Jo Lord serves as Executive Director, and Dr. Savannah Lord serves as Vice President and Clinical Director. The board also includes a secretary, a treasurer and a creative director.

On the clinical side, Dr. Savannah Lord is Clinical Director of Eden Valley. She holds a DSW and is a licensed clinical social worker and licensed alcohol and drug counselor. Our team also includes rostered psychotherapists and clinical mental health counselors, such as Clayton Cameron, who leads our Worthy groups.

What Eden Valley offers

Eden Valley works with children, teens, individuals and couples. Our services fall into three groups.

Therapy

Our therapists work with phobias, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationships and more. Our services page lists the full range, which includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), ADHD support, adolescent counseling, couples counseling and OCD treatment. We also offer parent coaching, which focuses on strengthening family bonds and structure.

Workshops and groups

We run workshops on topics that include OCD, ADHD and relationships, and we offer de-escalation training for businesses. For teens, we offer Worthy, a free healthy relationships group. You can see everything that is currently running on our groups page.

Professional resources

Eden Valley also supports other clinicians. We offer one-on-one and group clinical supervision, consulting for complex cases, referral partnerships with other providers and schools, and a selective clinical internship program for students.

We work with schools and community organizations as well. Our partnerships page describes referral partnerships, care coordination and regular case updates for partner providers, shared as appropriate and with attention to ethical communication.
