Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT targets three traps: fusion with thoughts, avoidance of feelings, and living too small. Skills include defusion (seeing thoughts as thoughts), acceptance (making room for sensations), present-moment attention, values clarification, and committed action. Progress is tracked by vitality and life participation, not symptom zero.
