Marissa Pappalardo, a masterʼs level Social Work (MSW) intern, is a non-licensed, non-certified mental health professional in the state of Vermont. She is currently working on her Masterʼs degree in Social Work at The University of Vermont. Marissa earned her undergraduate degree in environmental studies at the University of Vermont in 2019. Since that time, Marissa has worked on organic farms across the country and completed a graduate certificate in Food Systems from Tufts University.
Marissa is interested in anti-oppressive therapeutic approaches that support each individual and their unique needs. She approaches therapy from an ecosystems perspective, which acknowledges the complex, interdependent and contextual nature of our internal and external worlds. Marissa integrates modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and body-based awareness.
