Dennis Gromov is a 2nd-year Master's student at the University of Vermont and earned his bachelor's in psychology at Illinois State University. Dennis is very interested in psychology and neuroscience and enjoys listening to podcasts and reading research in those fields.
Dennis has a background in life coaching and enjoys helping clients plan for the future, create maps for goal achievement, and identify the personal strengths, values, and resources that can help them move toward the life they want to build.
Dennis also has a background in applied behavior analysis and has developed an understanding of the limitations of behavior-based approaches and their potential to cause harm when neurodivergent individuals are encouraged to suppress or mask aspects of themselves. Rather than emphasizing conformity to neurotypical behavioral expectations, Dennis uses mindfulness, internal family systems therapy (IFS), and existential therapy through a feminist-informed lens to understand client strengths and help them learn about themselves and allow them to experience greater Self- leadership, emotional equilibrium, and personal growth.
