Elsa is in her second year of the Masters of Social Work program at the University of Vermont. She seeks to work together with individuals to get closer to their desired emotional wellbeing, meet their unique goals and to find safety and security within themselves. She has extensive training in Motivational Interviewing and various pathways to recovery from Substance Use Disorders. She has experience working on goal setting, cognitive reframing, and action plans with both youth and adults. She has academic experience with Social Work practices theories, concepts and tools that give her the capacity to meet individuals as they are, where they are and to allow her clients to create change in their lives. Elsa also has a deep love of art, of movement (moving energy around through “bad” dancing) and of the natural world. She incorporates these practices in her own self-regulation and self-care and if clients are interested, into their sessions together.
