Maggie Mae Anderson

Maggie Mae Anderson came to counseling after more than 20 years in the wellness field as a massage therapist, yoga and meditation teacher, and integrative wellness practitioner. That work taught her to pay attention not only to what people say, but also to what happens in the body: where tension is held, how breath moves, and the subtle signals that something needs attention. She is currently completing her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Vermont State University and her clinical internship at Eden Valley.

Maggie Mae aims to create sessions where clients can slow down, take a breath, and be genuinely themselves. Her approach is warm, curious, and deeply nonjudgmental, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) alongside body-based and mindfulness practices such as breathwork, body scans, and gentle movement. Rather than trying to fix or judge any part of a person, she helps clients explore the thoughts, habits, patterns, and beliefs that shape how they move through the world, question what no longer fits, and discover what feels genuinely true for them. Her hope is that this work helps clients develop a kinder, more honest relationship with themselves and the freedom to build a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling on their own terms.
