Jason Castaldo

Jason Castaldo joins Eden Valley as a clinical intern and master's student pursuing his Mental Health Counselor degree at Merrimack College. His clinical philosophy is rooted in humility, compassion, and a dedication to helping each client move toward the life they envision for themselves. He believes clients should have active roles and a voice within their own healing process. Jason brings an integrative approach with his clients, incorporating exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) methods. He supports a diverse range of clients experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, OCD, behavioral concerns, grief, and neurodevelopmental differences. He is passionate about helping clients build self-esteem and meaningful connections with their environment.

Before entering the counseling field, Jason earned his master’s degree in criminology and interned in public safety roles alongside other first responders. During this time, Jason identified a significant gap in mental health accessibility for community members involved in law enforcement encounters, as well as the culture of silence that often prevents emergency services personnel from seeking the support they need. These experiences deepened his dedication to social justice and rehabilitative care. He has future aspirations of becoming an advocate for stronger mental health support and breaking the stigma within public safety and emergency services communities.
